A focused partnership with clear terms.
The commercial structure behind a LUIT Education Hub partnership — retainer, security deposit, optional performance incentive, and the operational principles that define how each is handled. Final figures depend on programme, scope, taxes, and written agreement.
Three
components.
Retainer, security deposit, and optional performance incentive — all defined in writing before activation.
One public figure would mislead half the prospects.
A single published number cannot represent a variable commercial relationship. Scope, programme type, target audience, reporting expectations, and duration all influence the final figure. Publishing one number would either overstate the cost for a partner with a lighter scope or understate it for a partner whose scope is larger.
What is published here is the shape of the structure — what the components are, how each is handled, and what governs changes. Actual figures are confirmed in writing after scope is agreed.
"A number without scope is a promise without substance. The structure comes first; the figures follow from the structure."
Retainer. Deposit. Incentive.
Each component has a defined role. Each is confirmed in writing before activation. None is optional-by-default except the incentive, which is agreed per programme.
For the operational layer.
Covers the physical Guwahati presence, reception and visitor triage, approved information sharing, visitor records, partner coordination, and periodic reporting.
Retainers are typically invoiced monthly in advance. The specific amount is scope-based and confirmed in writing.
Held against final months.
Adjustable against the final months of the engagement — designed to ensure continuity on both sides. Not a fee; not a fine; not revenue.
Adjustment schedule and any conditions are defined in the written agreement. On clean exit, the deposit is fully applied to the final retainers.
Optional. Programme-specific.
Where the partnership includes a performance-linked element, it is structured per programme — based on type, fee structure, and attribution mechanics.
Absence of an incentive clause means the partnership operates purely on the retainer and deposit structure. No implicit incentive is ever assumed.
Standard mechanics, written down.
Payment terms are stated in the agreement — not left to interpretation on the first invoice.
Invoicing cadence
Retainers are typically invoiced monthly in advance. The security deposit and first-month retainer are due at signing. Any deviation is documented in the written agreement.
Taxes
Applicable taxes — including GST where relevant — are additional to retainer and deposit amounts. Tax treatment is stated in the written agreement and reflected on every invoice.
Payment method
Bank transfer to the account named in the written agreement. Any other method requires written confirmation. Payment against invoice, with reference noted for reconciliation.
Late payment
Late-payment provisions are defined in the written agreement — not applied informally. Where continuity of service is affected by delayed payment, the process is documented in advance.
How a performance element is measured.
Where the partnership includes a performance-linked element, the method of attribution is defined before activation — not negotiated after a result appears.
Attribution mechanics vary by programme type. Coaching institutes with student-level enrolment tracking need different mechanics than universities with larger application funnels or EdTech platforms with digital conversion flows.
The agreement states the specific method before activation. Both sides agree, in writing, on how a result would be credited.
- Attribution method defined before activation
- Method matched to programme type and fee structure
- Written confirmation, not verbal agreement
- Referral source recorded at the point of enquiry
- Disputes resolved through the mechanism defined in the agreement
- No retroactive attribution changes without mutual written consent
What gets reported, and how often.
Activity reporting is part of the retainer — not an add-on. Frequency and content are defined in the written agreement.
Visitor & enquiry summary
Counts of visitors, enquiry categories, and follow-up status routed to the partner. Shared through the agreed channel.
Review conversation
A scheduled conversation on enquiry patterns, question areas trending outside the approved information pack, and any suggested scope updates.
Ad-hoc reporting
Specific reporting requests can be accommodated within reason. Larger reporting requirements are scoped separately.
Exclusions, stated upfront.
Nothing here is a hidden fee — it is what the retainer does not cover. Optional services, third-party costs, and legal work all fall outside the standard commercial structure.
Optional partner services
On-ground execution support and student referral opportunities are discussed separately with their own written scope and pricing. Not included in the retainer.
Third-party costs
Any third-party costs — venue, printing, courier, travel, professional services — are passed through at cost with the partner's prior written approval.
Legal, tax, and regulatory advice
LUIT does not provide legal, tax, or regulatory advice. Where those services are required, they are coordinated with qualified professionals — invoiced separately.
Marketing and lead generation
Marketing, advertising, and lead-generation activity remain with the partner. These are not part of the Hub's retainer scope.
Admission outcomes and enrolments
No aspect of the commercial structure purchases admissions, enrolments, or a guaranteed volume of visitors. Visitor activity is supported; outcomes remain with the partner.
How the structure evolves. How it ends.
Change process
Scope changes, additional optional services, or adjustments to reporting cadence may trigger a commercial review. Changes take effect only after both sides confirm in writing — never on informal instruction.
A written change order is issued for material changes. The original agreement remains the baseline unless explicitly superseded.
Termination process
The written agreement defines the notice period and the handling of the deposit adjustment on early termination. The intent is not to trap partners — it is to give both sides a defined, predictable exit route.
Notice period, deposit handling, and final invoicing are all documented before activation — not negotiated after a partner decides to leave.
The structure does not promise leads, admissions, enrolments, or revenue.
Final scope, payments, deposit adjustment, taxes, attribution, reporting, termination, and responsibilities are defined in the written agreement before activation. Nothing in this page constitutes a contract offer. Figures discussed during the enquiry stage are indicative and subject to the final written agreement.
Questions about the commercial structure.
Why are specific figures not published on this page?
Because a single public number cannot represent a variable commercial relationship. Scope, programme type, target audience, reporting expectations, and duration all influence the final figure. Publishing one number would either mislead partners whose scope is larger or undervalue the arrangement for those whose scope is smaller. Final figures are confirmed in writing after scope is agreed.
What does the monthly retainer actually pay for?
The retainer covers the operational layer: the physical Guwahati presence, reception and visitor triage, approved information sharing, visitor records, partner coordination, and periodic reporting. It does not buy admissions, enrolments, or guaranteed visitor volumes — those outcomes are not part of any retainer conversation.
How is the security deposit handled?
The security deposit is held against the final months of the engagement and adjusted against those months' retainers. It is designed to ensure continuity on both sides. Exact terms — amount, adjustment schedule, and any conditions — are defined in the written agreement before activation.
When does the performance incentive apply?
The performance incentive is optional and structured per programme, based on type, fee structure, and attribution mechanics. It is only triggered when the arrangement is explicitly agreed in writing. Absence of an incentive clause means the partnership operates purely on the retainer and deposit structure.
Are taxes included in the quoted structure?
No. Applicable taxes — including GST where relevant — are additional to the retainer and deposit amounts. Tax treatment is defined in the written agreement and reflected on all invoices.
What payment terms are typical?
Retainers are typically invoiced monthly in advance. The security deposit and first-month retainer are due at signing. Payment terms, invoicing cadence, and any grace period are defined in the written agreement. Late-payment provisions are also documented — not left to interpretation.
Can the commercial structure change after activation?
Yes, by mutual written agreement. Scope changes, additional optional services, or adjustments to reporting cadence may trigger a commercial review. Changes take effect only after both sides confirm in writing — never on informal instruction.
What happens if we want to end the partnership early?
The written agreement defines the notice period and the handling of the deposit adjustment on early termination. The intent is not to trap partners — it is to give both sides a defined, predictable exit route. Specific notice periods are negotiated per partner.
